February | Fun Things To Do in Myrtle Beach

Who would like to visit the beach in winter? Anyone and everyone! Right? Those who have visited Myrtle Beach in February know it is fantastic. Just in case, here are a few more good reasons to visit the Grand Strand right now. Living along the Grand Strand offers countless opportunities for sightseeing and cultural events. It’s time to get out and explore! Here are a few things The Trembley Group Real Estate team are looking forward to this month.

    Valentine’s Day

Plan a romantic getaway this February to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one. In addition to tons of fine dining, Valentine’s Day events, and attractions, Myrtle Beach is home to more than a few romantic hotels that offer packages for couples as well as romantic amenities such as spas and in-room Jacuzzi tubs. Whether you live here or are just thinking about a visit, Valentine’s Day is a great time along the Grand Strand. kackkeeko3

While many other states are digging out of snowstorms in February, Myrtle Beach welcomes mild weather. The average February air temperature is about 60º, making outdoor activities such as visiting Brookgreen Gardens, Myrtle Beach or Huntington Beach State Parks, and outdoor shopping very comfortable. While an average water temperature makes the ocean a bit cool for swimming, it is still warm enough to comfortably walk the miles of clean white sandy beaches.

    New Showsunknown-9

Many new shows start in February. Be one of the first people to see the new shows for 2017 at one or more of the award-winning theatres in Myrtle Beach. From North Myrtle Beach to Surfside, there are several theatres to check out including Alabama Theatre, House of Blues, Pirates Voyage, The Calvin Gilmore Theatre, Palace Theatre, Legends in Concert, GTS Theatre, and more.

There are so many wonderful Myrtle Beach restaurants! Indulge yourself by going on a culinary tour of Myrtle Beach while visiting in February. Those visiting Myrtle Beach restaurants in February don’t have to fight the long summer lines so it is easy to get a reservation or walk into almost any eatery along the Grand Strand. The Myrtle Beach area is home to a wide variety of different cuisines, including Seafood, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Ethiopian, French, German-Austrian, Polish – the list goes on and on. Here are a couple of suggestions from our new Marketing Intern, Raquel Sharkey, one of the professionals at The Trembley Group. Our team have excellent taste in food as well as real estate.

    1. Margaritas Mexican Restaurant  From their authentic Mexican food and Happy Hour specials to their two convenient locations (Conway & North Myrtle Beach), it is a no-brainer. Ms. Sharkey loves this place!
    1.  Handley’s Pub This local favorite bar provides patrons with local brewed beers and TV’s to watch their favorite sporting events making it the perfect place to hang out after work.Ms.Sharkey gives it 2 thumbs up!

While Valentine’s Day weekend is the second busiest for hotel occupancy, the average occupancy rate for hotels in February overall is approximately 35%, which makes is quite easy to find great deals for accommodations. Myrtle Beach average room rates in February are around $64.03, which is much more affordable than rates during the most popular summer months. Many restaurants and attractions also offer deals around this time of year to draw people to their businesses, so you may also find yourself saving money while having fun and eating a good meal!
