While anyone looking for a home will probably be inundated with suggestions like, “I have a friend who’s a nice guy and has a real estate license,” or, “You need to call my Uncle Bud, he sells real estate sometimes,” by all means call them. The Forbes article recommends looking for a Realtor with the following five characteristics:
1. They truly care.
2. They have strong market knowledge.
3. They know housing construction well enough to spot potential issues.
4. They are a good listener and a teacher, not just a salesperson.
5. They are responsive and truly care, and have a track record to prove their accomplishments.
